Selden was founded in 1968 as a formulator and manufacturer of cleaning chemicals. In 1973 we moved from Stockport to our present site in Buxton Derbyshire into a purpose built premises that through extension has developed into the world class facility we see today.
Starting with floorcare, detergents and disinfectants marketed exclusively into the cleaning and hygiene distribution market, we have further developed and extended into different sectors throughout the food service and hotel industries (HORECA), engineering and retail.
Our products are resold and used by any number of PLC’s and household names.
Over the years where appropriate, we have taken the opportunity to grow thorough acquisition, Decosol was added as a winter products business for retail which was an excellent fit to our existing B2B screenwash and deicer offerings. Jeyes Professional and most recently Premiere Products acquisitions have further strengthened both our product range and already highly developed product R&D knowledge.
We are now market leaders in the UK with the B2B cleaning and hygiene sector. Our expertise in private label is unrivalled, we have the widest and deepest product range serving the everyday of cleaning professionals across all sectors of HORECA.
In the EU we manufacture and distribute predominantly catering and leisure focused products, in both the UK and the EU we have our own engineering team who are experts in mechanical dishwashing.
